Our StoryThis is our tenth season. We have been playing out of Blackwood since 2017, and there was a Coed Duon here before that. The senior side trains on a Tuesday evening and plays home games on a Sunday, and we run girls’ teams at under 7, under 9 and under 11. We are an independent club. Most women’s teams in Wales are attached to a men’s club, and we are not, which means everything here is built for the women and girls who play in it. Some of our players have been at it since school. Others turned up this season having never kicked a ball properly. Both are welcome.
